Mercury, the messenger of the gods, rules communication, cleverness, and speed. He reminds us that our words shape our reality - and that reinvention can begin with just one sentence. (Mercury is also the appropriate name I gave my wild, playful, black, fluffy, fearless, feral cat).

Osiris, god of rebirth and renewal, shows us that even after endings, new life grows. That identity is not fixed - it is a garden we are always tending. (Osiris is another appropriate name I gave my older, wiser more stoic and dignified gold flecked black tabby cat).

Who is Behind the Brand?

Hi, I'm Laura Cavanaugh, a reluctant cat-lady who believes reinvention is not only possible - it is our natural state. I started Mercury Loves Osiris as a way to fuse mystical imagery, empowering language, and a deep respect of self-expression into wearable reminders of the power we all hold to evolve, despite what the nay sayers say.
